Symantec NetBackup product is a backup and recovery product designed for enterprise users. Symantec NetBackup tool can be used to perform backups of SQL Server databases and provides various features.

Below are some of the NetBackup status error codes from Status Code 1461 to Status Code 1466 which may be received while using the Symantec NetBackup tool.

NetBackup status code: 1461
Message: invalid date
Explanation: The user provides an invalid date, an invalid date format, or the
date without the time in minutes and seconds. The date format must be mm/dd/yy
[hh:mm:ss] and the date must be later than January 1, 1970.
Recommended Action: Provide a valid date and time in the proper format.

NetBackup status code: 1462
Message: End date is before start date
Explanation: The nbindexutil -list end date is chronologically before the start
date.
RecommendedAction: Ensure that the end date (-date_to) is after the start date
(-date_from).

NetBackup status code: 1463
Message: Hours must be greater than or equal to 1
Explanation: The value of the nbindexutil -hoursago option is less than 1.
Recommended Action: Reset the value of the -hoursago option to 1 or greater.

NetBackup status code: 1464
Message: For -force option, operation ID has to be 1
Explanation: The nbindexutil -force option is specified when the -operation
option is set to 2 (delete the selected image). The -force option is valid only if the
-operation option is set to 1 (add a new image).
Recommended Action: Ensure that the value of the -operation option is 1.

NetBackup status code: 1465
Message: nbindexutil -list option is missing the -indexserver option
Explanation: The required -indexserver index_server_name option is missing
from the nbindexutil -list operation.
RecommendedAction: Specify the -indexserver option with a valid index server
name.

NetBackup status code: 1466
Message: Invalid combination of options
Explanation: One of the following occurs:
¦ The user specifies the -date_from or -date_to option as part of the -waiting
or -inprogress options, which do not use date-based filtering.
¦ Explanation: The user specifies the -indexserver option as part of a delete
operation (-operation 2).
Recommended Action: Do not specify the -date_to or -date_from options with
the -waiting or -inprogress options. Also, do not specify the -indexserver
option with a delete operation.
