Symantec NetBackup status code 1451 to status code 1460


Symantec NetBackup product is a backup and recovery product designed for enterprise users. Symantec NetBackup tool can be used to perform backups of SQL Server databases and provides various features.

Below are some of the NetBackup status error codes from Status Code 1451 to Status Code 1460 which may be received while using the Symantec NetBackup tool.

NetBackup status code: 1451
Message: Invalid command line option.
Explanation: The command line interface has detected an invalid option or a
misspelled option that is used with the nbindexutil command. The message
specifies the invalid option.
Recommended Action: Correct the input parameters by referring to the usage
and help options of nbindexutil.

NetBackup status code: 1452
Message: Backup ID: <backup ID> does not exists
Explanation: User has requested a backup ID that does not exist. The ID may be
misspelled or the image has expired.
Recommended Action: Ensure that the backup ID is input is entered correctly
and the backup image is not expired.

NetBackup status code: 1453
Message: Invalid Operation ID
Explanation: The user gives an incorrect value for the nbindexutil -operation.
The valid values of the operation ID are 1 (new image) and 2 (delete the indexes).
Recommended Action: Provide a valid value for the -operation option

NetBackup status code: 1454
Message: Invalid Priority
Explanation: User gives an incorrect value for the nbindexutil -priority
option. The only valid values for the -priority option are Low (default) and High.
Recommended Action: Provide a valid value for the -priority option

NetBackup status code: 1455
Message: Missing value for option <-option>
Explanation: User does not specify the value for the nbindexutil option. For
example, nbindexutil -operation expects the value 1 or 2. The status code
message specifies the option that contains the missing value.
Recommended Action: Provide a valid value for the missing option

NetBackup status code: 1456
Message: Required option is not found
Explanation: One of the following is true:
¦ The user does not specify the -bid or -bid_file option after the -add option.
¦ The user does not specify the image state (waiting, inprogress, indexed, or
failed) to be listed after the -list option
Recommended Action: Add the -bid or -bid_file option, or provide the image
state for the -list option.

NetBackup status code: 1457
Message: Too many arguments provided
Explanation: The user provides the same information more than once.
Recommended Action: Ensure that no command line options are repeated.

NetBackup status code: 1458
Message: Unable to connect to Indexing Service
Explanation: The nbindexutilcommandcannot connect to the indexing service.
Recommended Action: Verify that the NetBackup Indexing Service is running.

NetBackup status code: 1459
Message: Incorrect file path: <specified file path>
Explanation: A non-existing or incorrect file path is part of the nbindexutil
-bid_file option.
Recommended Action: Provide the correct path for the -bid_file option.

NetBackup status code: 1460
Message: No data found in the file
Explanation: The file specified in file path for the nbindexutil -bid_file option
is empty.
RecommendedAction: Provide a valid, non-empty file that contains a list of valid
backup IDs (one on each line) for the –bid_file option.
